PTO COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
Box Top Committee

No volunteers are needed for this committee! Simply clip Box Tops throughout the year and send them into school in a Baggie labeled with your child’s name and section to be counted towards the yearly contest, which will be announced after school begins.
Christmas Store Committee
Volunteers may sign up for this Committee at Back to School Night. Volunteers are needed for store set-up on Sunday, December 6, 2020 and for tear-down on Thursday, December 9, 2020 following the last shopping period. Volunteers are also needed to assist students with shopping during their scheduled times (shopping will take place on Monday, December 7 and Tuesday, December 8, 2020 with times for classes to be announced). Volunteers are encouraged to help for longer periods of time than just when your child is shopping; help is especially needed when younger students are visiting the store.
Cookies & Cocoa Committee
This event is for students in 3rd, 4th & 5th grades and will take place on December 14, 2020. Volunteers will be asked to sign up on a link that will be sent home via letter to these classes in early December. Volunteers are needed to make the cocoa, help with set-up and tear-down and to assist in serving cookies to the students. Parents of 3rd, 4th & 5th graders will be asked to provide the cookie donations for this event.
Easter Candy Sale

1-2 volunteers are needed to assist the chair with Easter candy sale paperwork prior to the delivery date, and to be available on the pick-up date, March 31, 2020. The Easter Candy Sale kick off is TBD.
Field Day Committee

This event is for Grades 1-7, and will be held on Wednesday, June 2 , 2021. Volunteers will be asked to sign up via School Messenger for either half day or full day shifts, and will be asked to run stations at Field Day.
Ice Cream Social Committee

Volunteers can sign up to help at both the fall social , and with spring social on Friday, May 14, 2021, via a link sent through School Messenger prior to each Ice Cream Social. Volunteers are needed for set-up and tear-down, to scoop ice cream, or to work at the water and pretzel table.
Kindergarten Program Committee

1-2 1st grade parent volunteers are needed to “give back” by helping at the Kindergarten graduation on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Duties include filling drinks and slicing cake at the reception following the Kindergarten graduation program, and assisting with tear-down. Volunteers can sign up at Back to School Night.
Middle School Dance Committee
The Middle School Dance is for 6th, 7th & 8th grades – SCLS STUDENTS ONLY. Volunteers will be asked to serve as chaperones for the dance via School Messenger and a letter sent home. Volunteers will also be requested to assist in set-up and decorating for the dance.
The dance will be held on October 24, 2020 from 7:00-9:00pm in the gym.
Restaurant & Retail Fundraiser Committee

8th Grade Graduation
7th grade parent volunteers will be asked to sign up at Back to School Night to “pay it forward” and help with 8th grade graduation on Friday, May 28, 2021. Volunteers are needed to work at the reception following the 8th grade graduation mass. Duties include set-up and tear-down, and helping to serve the food and drinks at the reception.
Uniform Sale Committee
Volunteers can sign up at Back to School Night to assist the chair during sale days 3 times a year.
Dates for Used uniform sale:
November 1, 2020: 8am-1:30pm (cafeteria)
Winter Coat Drive Committee

No volunteers needed. Families will be asked to donate gently used winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves to the Winter Coat Drive. This event will be kicking off on Monday, November 2, 2020.

No volunteers are needed, however ALL parents are asked to send pictures from class parties, field trips, classroom or school-wide special events or from sporting events to the chair to be used for the 2020-21 yearbook.
