CCW Easter Meal Basket Project

Collecting:
-Giant, Weis or Walmart gift cards ($20 denominations) -OR-
-Financial donations in any amount
Deadline: Sunday, March 14, 2021

The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) invites you to join our 2021 Easter Meal Basket Project.  Due to COVID restrictions and concerns, this year we are collecting grocery Gift Cards (Giant, Weis, or Walmart) in $20.00 denominations, or financial donations of any amount to help us purchase gift cards.  These cards will be given to Silence of Mary and St. Francis of Assisi Church. They will distribute these gift cards in lieu of our usual meal baskets, allowing us to safely spread our message of Easter hope and love.

Donations may be mailed or dropped off at the Parish Office, C/O “CCW Easter Project” by Sunday, March 14th.

Virtual Diocesan Men’s Conference March 20

The Diocesan Virtual Men’s Conference theme is Catholic Men: Defenders of the Faith.  Conference speakers and presentations include: Dr. William Donohue, President of the Catholic League (The Catholic Advantage), the Most Rev. Ronald Gainer, DD, JCL, (The Genuineness of Your Faith: Reflections on I Peter), Fr. Frederick Miller, STD, Spiritual Director and Professor, Immaculate Conception Seminary, Archdiocese of Newark, (Men of Mary), and so much more.

Registration fee is $10 per person.
Registration Deadline: March 18, 2021 at noon.

During Lent, we will offer the Stations of Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Fridays in the Shrine Church.  Please join us for this Lenten devotion.

Presidents’ Day Federal Holiday Schedule

On Monday, February 15, 2021, we will follow our National/Federal holiday schedule for Presidents’ Day.

The parish office and school are closed.  The 6:30 a.m. Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Miraculous Medal Novena and confessions will not be held.

There will be one community Mass celebrated at 9:00 a.m. in the Shrine Church.

 

 

 

 

CCW Tuna Salad Sandwich Sale

CCW is once again offering tuna salad sandwiches for sale during Lent. This year, our sandwiches will be made by R&K Subs, and available for pre-purchase by emailing sclhbgccw@gmail.com or by contacting Alycia at 570.590.1116

Pre-Order Deadline: Wednesday, February 17
Sandwich pickup: Friday, February 26

Cost is $5.00 per sandwich. Payment is due when placing your order. All checks made payable to Saint Catherine Laboure CCW and may be sent to the parish office. Be sure to label your envelope CCW Tuna Sandwich Sale.

A member of CCW will contact you the day before pick-up with details. All proceeds benefit CCW programs and programs in the parish and surrounding community.

Parishioners may use this form to request an electronic copy of their annual year end tax statement.

Baby Bottle Project through January 31

Our parish baby bottle project to benefit the work of Morning Star Pregnancy Services continues throughout January. Envelopes are available by the exits as you leave church, or in the narthex for your contribution of coins, cash or a check.

Envelopes may be returned to the church by January 31 or mailed directly to the center.

Weekly Monday Adoration begins January 25

Jesus invites you to spend holy time with him during weekly Eucharistic Adoration on Mondays between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Shrine Church.
