The Lord Jesus Christ promised St. Faustina that the soul that has been to Confession and receives Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday will receive the complete forgiveness of all sins and punishment. These are amazing graces to take advantage of on Sunday, April 19, 2020!
Even though churches are closed and you cannot go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, you can still receive these special graces. Do the acts of trust below with the intent to return to the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confession as soon as possible.
2. Make a Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
3. Say a prayer like this:
Lord Jesus Christ, You promised Saint Faustina that the soul that has been to Confession [I’m unable, but I made an Act of Contrition] and the soul that receives Holy Communion [I’m unable, but I made a Spiritual Communion] will receive the complete forgiveness of all sins and punishment. Please, Lord Jesus Christ, give me this grace. Amen.
