October 14-18 Schedule

The parish office/school will be closed on Columbus Day, Monday, October 14,2019. Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Rosary and the Miraculous Medal Novena will not be held.

Due to the Priest Continuing Education Workshop, daily Masses will not be offered in the church Monday, October 14 through Friday, October 18.  See daily Mass Schedule below for other locations.

On  October 16 & 17, 2019, the Church and Oratory will be closed for carpet cleaning.   During this 48-hour period, there will no daily Masses, Eucharistic Adoration or access to the narthex and Shrine. The church will reopen on Friday, October 18.

Mass with Annointing October 12

MASS WITH ANOINTING OF THE SICK

On October 12, close to the feast of Saint Luke, Evangelist, who is believed to have been a physician by profession, there will be a special Mass with the Anointing of the Sick for our homebound parishioners and any others who are in need of the Sacrament. The Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. followed by a light luncheon. Confessions will begin at 10:15 a.m.

New Youth Ministry Programs begin

High School Youth Ministry

Holy Name of Jesus and Saint Catherine Labouré High School Youth Ministry will hold their kickoff event, S’mores & Saints, on Sunday, October 6, from 7:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m. behind the rectory at Holy Name.

All parishioners in grades 9-12 are invited to join us for food, games and campfire stories about Saints! Bring a lawn chair and a story about your favorite Saint(s) to share.

Middle School Youth Ministry

EDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY
Edge Middle School Youth Ministry is open to all parishioners in grades 6 through 8. The four main objectives are:
– to grow in knowledge of our faith;
– to grow closer to the Lord spiritually through prayer;
– to foster a spirit of service to our Church and Community;
– and to provide an opportunity for our young people to come together and have fun.

Meetings typically take place the first/ third Sunday of the month in Holy Name ‘s former church from 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Sunday, October 6, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Grieving with Great Hope Grief Support Program

Anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one is invited to participate in a weekly grief support group program based on the Grieving with Great Hope series.  Facilitators are gentle, caring individuals who themselves have experienced the loss of a loved one.
