Parishioners,
We are only a few weeks away from our parish picnic. This year’s picnic will be on Saturday July 26thstarting at 1:00 pm and will be a potluck picnic.
We are planning on the picnic lunch being served around 2:30PM so if your dish needs to be cool, make sure to plan for that.
The parish’s Knights of Columbus council will provide hot dogs, buns, and water.
We are asking families whose last name begins with:
A-H, that you bring a main dish, i.e., spaghetti, chicken casserole, etc.
I-Q, that you bring a side dish, i.e., coleslaw, pasta salad.
R-Z, we ask that you bring a dessert, i.e., cookies, pies, etc.
Please bring a little extra to share since this is a potluck picnic.
This picnic will be held at our Parish’s recently renovated picnic pavilion; we suggest that you bring your folding chairs, tents or beach umbrellas. The entrance to this area is off Oakleigh Avenue (go through the two stone columns and the gravel entrance to the parish’s picnic area which will be on the right).
There will be lawn games and a baseball bucket dunk. You can bring gloves, balls or any yard or outdoor games that you have available.
Please contact Lou Calabro at loupsu73@comcast.net, (717) 671-7262
OR Terry Bollinger at tmbollinger62@gmail.com, (717) 839-7404
to let us know how many will be attending the picnic, and what dish or dessert you will be bringing to the picnic. We do this to try and avoid duplication of the main dishes, the side dishes and the desserts.
You can fill out the form below and submit it in the collection basket.
We need this information by Monday, July 20th to provide time to purchase the amount of hot dogs, buns and water the council will need for the expected number of people attending.
We are looking forward to having a great time together.
