The Ecumenical Shawl Ministry is non-denominational whose members knit or crochet prayer shawls for those suffering from illness or are at a pivotal moment in their life such as marriage, new parent or grandparent, etc.
During the meeting, members pray for the shawl recipient as well as with or for each other – and most importantly, have fun in sharing in the job and company of others.
Knitting, crocheting and prayer continue at home.
The ministry meets at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church located at 3700 Rutherford St. Harrisburg.
