CATHERINE’S CUPBOARD COLLECTIONS TO BENEFIT CATHOLIC WORKER HOUSE THROUGHOUT JUNE AND JULY
Homelessness does not take the summer off, and neither are we in our collections this summer. As part of its mission of hospitality to the poor and homeless on Allison Hill in Harrisburg, the Catholic Worker House has been distributing basic needs to those who come to their door, or to those living in camps unseen by so many.
Their current high value needs include:
- men’s boxer or boxer brief underwear (medium or large)
- men’s t-shirts (large, x-large, any color)
- socks (the #1 most requested item)
- bath towels and wash cloths
- men’s deodorant
- soap bars (not liquid)
- toothpaste
- toothbrushes
- toilet paper
Items may be dropped in the narthex beginning Saturday, June 11 through Sunday, July 31.
Cash donations are also accepted in the parish office or in the collection basket. Please write “Catholic Worker House” on your envelope if making a cash donation. As always, thank you for whatever you are able to do to help those in need.
