But God doesn’t compare you to anybody else. He wants to help you become the person He created you to be—perfectly yourself! Together we will find balance between accepting ourselves and striving to become all God dreams for us to become.

Collecting Personal and Household Supplies

People who are in need of food are also in need of other basic supplies. To relieve some of their distress we are making an adjustment to our collection pattern. Every few months, beginning with February, we will collect basic personal items and household cleaning supplies which can be distributed by Saint Catherine and the Catholic Worker House along with the food we offer. Below are some suggested items most of which may be found at any dollar store.

PERSONAL SUPPLIES
toothpaste/toothbrushes
dental floss
bath soap
lotion
deodorant
shampoo/conditioner

HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES
laundry detergent
cleanser
dish soap
toilet tissue
bowl cleaner/brush
cleaning/disinfecting solutions

DID YOU KNOW? Just beyond our boundaries is The Catholic Worker House in Allison Hill. Their need is much greater than ours and because of your generosity, we are able to share our abundance with them each month.

Our Knights of Columbus will have subs available after each Mass on February 1st and 2nd. Italian and Turkey subs made by Mutzabaugh’s Market. Subs are $6 each. Get your meal for the big game and help support the Knights’ work in our parish.

Join us for this do-it-yourself retreat which combines the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius with the teachings of Saints Therese of Lisieux, Faustina Kowalska, and Louis de Montfort.

MiniTHON Donations – SCLS students will collect funds for the Four Diamonds Fund after Masses on January 25/26.

National Day of Giving for Catholic Schools – Tuesday, January 28, 9:00 am

FEDERAL HOLIDAY: MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY •
JANUARY 20, 2020

We will follow our National/Federal holiday schedule. The parish office/school are closed. The 6:45 a.m. Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and Miraculous Medal Novena will not be held. There is one community Mass celebrated at 9:00 a.m.

DAY OF PRAYER 
TUESDAY, JANUARY 21 • 7:00 P.M.— WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22 • 7:00 P.M. SHRINE CHURCH

Our parish is sponsoring a 24 hour Vigil for Life to commemorate the anniversary of the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision. The Vigil will start on Tuesday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. and continue through Wednesday, January 22 at 7:00 p.m. The Vigil will include a short prayer service and ongoing Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Could you lend your prayer support by committing to an hour before the Blessed Sacrament for this important cause? Sign-up opportunities are available in the narthex.

A parish organized bus will travel to Washington, D.C. to participate in the  annual March for Life activities. The bus departs Saint Catherine Labouré Parish at 7:30 a.m. and returns to the Parish at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 24.

To cover the cost of the bus, riders are asked to contribute $30.00.

RESPECT LIFE COMMITTEE BABY BOTTLE PROJECT 

January 11/12, the parish Respect Life Committee is sponsoring the baby bottle project for Morning Star Pregnancy Services.

Follow these three easy steps to save and change lives.
1. Pick up an empty bottle.
2. Fill it with your spare change, cash, or check.
3. Return to collection spot in narthex the weekend of January 25/26.
