About the Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded by Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882, it was named in honor of the mariner Christopher Columbus. Originally serving as a mutual benefit society to low-income immigrant Catholics, it developed into a fraternal benefit society dedicated to providing charitable services, promoting Catholic education and Catholic public policy positions, and actively defending Roman Catholicism in various nations. The Knights of Columbus offers men a place to lead their families and communities in faith and service and put their Faith into Action. Completed this form to receive additional information.
At Saint Catherine Labouré Parish, Knights of Columbus Council 12811 is active in many service areas and assists the pastor with parish events, school activities, and fundraisers. These activities include Eucharistic Adoration, sacramental gifts, rosary prayer services, Oktoberfest, Dinner on Derry, student basketball and soccer contests, Topper Trot and more.
Fundraisers are hosted throughout the year to support our charitable work.
