The Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist are generally received in 2nd Grade. Confirmation is generally received in 8th Grade in the Diocese of Harrisburg. The preparation for these sacraments involves a two-year process in each case (i.e., 1st & 2nd grade for Penance and Holy Eucharist, 7th & 8th grade for Confirmation). Parents are expected to attend parent meetings prior to the reception of each of these Sacraments. A calendar with dates of these sessions will be given to parents of candidates in Grades 2, 7 and 8 in September, at the beginning of the school year.
Sacramental Preparation classes are available for children above the usual age for these sacraments. These may be held on Sunday morning from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. and would follow the PREP Calendar Schedule. Alternately, they may be held at another time convenient to the family and the tutor.
