2016 Collection Weekends:
November 5 & 6,
November 12 & 13
November 19 & 20
It’s hard to believe that very soon, it will be Thanksgiving. As we begin to plan our family meals and create our grocery list, may we also remember those families in our area that may not be able to afford an evening meal, let alone Thanksgiving Dinner.
Please consider adding items to your weekly grocery list and returning those items the weekends of November 5/6, 12/13 and 19/20.
Donation items needed include: Turkey, stuffing (boxed), gravy (canned or packets), instant mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned cranberry sauce. Gift cards (Giant, Weis or Wal-Mart) to purchase pies, dinner rolls and baskets are most welcome.
Since we are not able to provide proper refrigeration, turkeys can only be received between 8:00 a.m. and 12 Noon on Sunday, November 20, 2016 (Sunday before Thanksgiving).
We work closely with agencies in our area to ensure the Thanksgiving baskets are distributed to families in need in our area.
As always, we count on your generosity as you practice the stewardship of treasure. Thank you very much.
